Each year the southern coast of Turkey is filled with Turkish gulets of many styles. Among the few harbors to choose from, the most popular ones from Turkey are Gocek, Marmaris and Bodrum. However travelers can also embark from Fethiye as well - and if they have difficulty finding direct or connecting flights from Istanbul, there is always the Greek island of Rhodes.

The main benefit in embarking from Gocek harbor is the traveling distance from the serving airport of Dalaman. It's only 20 minutes away from Gocek town. The town itself is charming and surrounding by lush green hilltops and serves many nearby destinations on the Mediterranean side.

Marmaris has always been a favorite holiday hotspot for holidaymakers for decades. The airport transfer is just over an hour - however a pleasant drive. It is particularly beautiful as you approach Marmaris city. The descent down to the harbor entrance is beautiful where you can see all of Marmaris and Marmaris bay - great for taking somewhat aerial shots before you reach the city water front.

Bodrum is also an all-time favorite port. There isn't much for historical sites in Bodrum - but you can be sure to have a wonderful selection of nightlife entertainment to choose from. Bodrum is also home of Europe's largest open-air night club - the Halicarnassus. The driving distance from the Milas airport to Bodrum is approximately 40 minutes.
